A Trinity of Liturgies

April 24, 2008

Today I took part in three meaningful liturgies. No, I did not attend three religious ceremonies, though one included some prayers.
In the seminary, I learned that the word “liturgy” combines two Greek words - laos (people) and ergon (action or work). We can translate liturgy either as “public works” or as “mass action.”

IT for Aytas

December 13, 2007

This morning I was awakened early by a knock on our gate. It was Carling, the Ayta leader from Zambales. He had called me a few days ago to ask if he could have a copy of the powerpoint presentation I hurriedly prepared for his talk at the Literacy Coordinating Council. “I want to use [...]

There are many conferences this week on IP issues, since this [...]

“We want to harness your ideas for environmental defense, and for over-all strategic directions,” one of the senior staff told me.
Yesterday, [...]

July 16, 2007

Yesterday I got a phone call from Jun Sacro: Can you join us for an emergency meeting at the Park and Wildlife Bureau? Just tell the guard that you are attending the TAMS meeting and he will show you where.
I’m glad I decided to go. TAMS is The Association of Mindorenos who live and work [...]
